Scooter & Powerchair Battery Information
All batteries supplied with the scooters / powerchairs we sell are of the sealed type and DOT / IATA approved for air travel. Certificates can be obtained from the manufacturer on request.

If you use your scooter outside of your home every day, then it should be charged every day. If you use it less frequently then always charge your batteries before an outing, or after active use. Use the 3:1 ratio as a guide; one hour of use requires 3 hours of charging. Always read your Owner's Manual.

If you stop using your scooter/powerchair for an extended period of time, disconnect your batteries and then check them every two to three weeks  and recharge if necessary. Always store your batteries fully charged. Avoid hot and cold extremes of temperature.

We can supply Nickel Metal Hydride (Nimh) batteries for older scooters upon request. To ensure the maximum life is obtained from Nimh batteries first and foremost read and apply the instructions in the manual that was supplied with the vehicle. It is advisable that any Nimh battery should be considerably discharged, but not fully discharged, before being recharged.
